«Sleep and Wakefulness» is an installation designed to be set up in a closed and dark room. It consists of two glass urns. In each piece, a Samsung SP-H03 Pico Projector is integrated to project a 1-hour video in a continuous loop onto their top lids. The glass sculptures are supported by a white marble base. Additionally, the room’s ceiling serves as a screen for video projection from another standard projector positioned on the floor.
This is an artistic piece created under the influence of 17th-century Vanitas art, aiming to emphasize the emptiness of life and the significance of death.
